Windows 7 Won't Shut Down External Monitor
Windows 7 Won't Shut Down External Monitor
I have the same problem with both a x61s and x60s: when you set the timer to power off an external montior, nothing happens. Same for setting a screen saver. Since the x60s and x61s have different video chips, I thought this was odd, besides the fact my 22" monitor stays on all night. Google HAS NOT been my friend on this one, and replacing video drivers, settings, you name it.

I know bumping is frowned upon, but this issue has gotten to be a major one in an otherwise well oiled machine.dstrauss wrote:I have the same problem with both a x61s and x60s: when you set the timer to power off an external montior, nothing happens.
