I cannot use ThinkVantage button after install Windows 7 RC

#1 Post by rockrock » Mon Jun 22, 2009 3:57 am

Please help me solve this problem.
I installed a fresh ver. of windows 7 rc (7100) without touching the recovery partition.
I did follow the setup wizard and did not format C part.
After successfully installed, I deleted the Windows.old folder and some other folders (IBM tool or service..., I don't remember).

Everything is ok, windows 7 run smoothly.
However, I cannot use the ThinkVantage button any more!!!

Please help me, I want to recover windows xp, but do not know how to do.
P.S.: Sorry, I own a IBM T60.

Others are more informed than I, but I'd try to install the Thinkpad Key Mapping Utility, and/or the Hotkey driver ... I'd look here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-68000
