Privileges problem when copy a file to Program Files

#1 Post by Amel » Wed Aug 05, 2009 3:21 pm

Hello, i have Win7 in my T41 days ago, today i like insert a new skin of Avast, but i cant copy it. When i try copy the skin file in c:/program files/alkil software/data/skins, appear a message and say "You need privileges of administrator for this task" o something similar, i press Acept and the file is not copied, and the other button is Cancel. I think when i press Acept in the alert message, Win should copy the file.. but not..

My user have privileges of Administrator, i try desactivated the UAC, and i edited the privileges in the directory Alkil/data/skins to my user and Users and All with write, but i cant copy it.

What's the problem? Thanks,

- Click start
- Type explorer
- Right-click Windows Explorer
- Click run as administrator

navigate to c:/program files/alkil software/data/skins

Right click on the target file and select copy. Navigate to where you want to paste, right click on the target folder, select 'paste'

You should be able to put an an admistrator shortcut to windows explorer on your desktop as well.

I cant copy the file. I click start, type explorer, right click on windows explorer and run as adminsitrator, i go to .../data/skins and when i click paste, "You need privileges for make this action", Try again or Cancel.

This version of 7 is the RC.. perhaps is an error the problem??

I hate this protection in vista and 7..
