Some issues with Windows 7 T61p

#1 Post by Jih » Fri Sep 18, 2009 10:30 pm

Just was curious what driver packages you guys have installed to make the following issues work:

-All hotkeys regarding screen brightness and sound (I have the hotkey driver installed but no on-screen display for volume, screen brightness and mute does not work)
-In windows adjusting screen brightness does not work

You probably need the System Interface Driver.

A Windows 7 compatible version of the Hotkey Features driver is available from Lenovo at here.

It works with my T60p running Win7 RTM 32-bit business.
Core 2 Duo T7600, 3GB DDR2-667 RAM, Main 7K320 320GB 7200RPM + Ultrabay 320GB 5400RPM, ATI FireGL V5250, 15" IPS UXGA, DVDRW, Bluetooth, Atheros ABGN, NMB Keyboard, Fingerprint, Win7 Pro X86 + Vista 64-bit SP2, Advanced Dock.

Jih:

As with a lot of Lenovo's drivers, the order of installation can be important. Install the Hotkey features after you have installed the System Interface Driver. Also, be sure that you're using the latest version of the Hotkey driver; the earlier ones were buggy.

It works fine for me on x64.

Thanks for the reply!
It worked like a charm. "Uninstalling -> restart -> reinstall in the following order: System Interface then Hotkeys" made everything work smoothly.
I can't believe how much I missed those small green bars :)
