Automatic Logoff?

#1 Post by suzannetf » Sun Nov 15, 2009 11:40 pm

Ok, my computer is about to drive me nuts. This isn't just Windows 7 Professional Edition - 64 bit because my laptop with XP does it too (and this one did before I upgraded Vista). But whoever uses 7 can direct me better. I'm apparently stupid about setting my power settings. But if I do not touch my computer for about 1 minute (be it on battery or plugged into the wall) it logs off and I have to log back in. I SWEAR my settings are turned to NEVER go into standby or hibernate unless I push the button. But it does it when left idle to long. I'm not sure how to alter the logout. WHY does it do this?

EDIT: Nevermind. I thought I'd checked my screen saver too but I hadn't. </retarded>

How the heck do you delete a post? I don't see the option.

We don't delete posts here if there is a smidgen of good information. As silly as it may sound, yours will help some folks who have not checked the same screensaver setting.
