Can't move cursor w/tpad/tpoint in Word & Outlook 2007

I've recently had a problem where I can't move the cursor insertion point when editing in Word or Outlook 2007 with win7x32 on a T61. I found a fix relating to a change in a Password Manager setting (uncheck Enable hot keys) in this forum: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/For ... bca9a4382b. This worked for me so I thought that I would post it here.
