slow T400

I have a T400 with 4g memory. I was using the RC version of 64-bit Win 7 with great success. I recently did a clean install of the official release and the most recent Lenovo drivers, but everything seems to be moving in slow motion. Firefox (3.1.14) seems particularly sluggish. It's driving me crazy.

Any ideas about where to start troubleshooting this?

There's a BIOS update for the T400 in preparation for 64bit Windows 7. Did you do it?

No. But I'm curious why the RC seemed to work OK without it.
