Video Resolution

I've been running W7 Ultimate 64bit RTM on my T400 for 5 months and it has been rock solid. Everything is working nicely. Since Lenovo came out with their upgrade program I decided to order and install the Lenovo offered W7 Ultimate 64bit version. I figured this should be an easy install since the RTM code has worked flawlessly. I have a ViewSonic 19" 1680x1050 (WSXGA) native resolution external LCD monitor. With the RTM code everything works fine in both ATI Switchable Graphics and Intel Native mode. However with the Lenovo GA W7 code, setting the display to 1680x1050 results in 2" vertical black bars and a 4x3 looking image on the screen. In 1440x900(WSXGA) mode everything works fine. I've installed the Lenovo ATI drivers, and the Intel drivers failed to install with a "System does not meet the Requirements" error. I've tried 2 clean installs with the same results. Any suggestions?
