Fingerprint Software Win7 or Lenovo

#1 Post by sgmidf » Sun Jan 03, 2010 4:03 pm

I've just installed Win 7-32bit on my X61s and I'm using the native Fingerprint software. Lenovo SU wants to install the Lenovo driver. Is there any advantage? If I switch over to 64bit would that make a difference?
Thanks

I prefer built-in WinBio mainly because it's much faster. Lenovo's software has noticable delays when starting up and scanning the finger.

Thanks. I think that I'll stick with it. I just tried to install Win 7 64 Enterprise and it said that it was missing a CD driver. Do you by aby chance know where I could find it? I had no such problem with the 32 bit install.
thanks

Windows needs no external drivers for optical drives.
