Window 7 x86 ATI X1400 driver for T60

Before I take the plunge and invest in Win7, I'd like to verify that people have laptops that are at least 90%-95% functional under 7. One of my concerns is the apparent lack of an X1400 driver. I know that laptop video drivers often have to be provided by the OEM rather than generic. So far I've been unable to locate an Win7 driver for the X1400 from Lenovo. I did find this driver:

But I'm uncertain if that driver will work with my T60. I'm also interested to find out if others have the other hardware in their T60's working or not.

You could try the beta driver, or else install Thinkvantage System Update 4 and see what it pulls down.

Works fine with my T60 with the ATI X1400 graphics chip. I'm running driver version 8.383.1.1000 with Catalyst Control Centre.

My Windows 7 install was an upgrade from Vista. Can't remember now whether I had that driver installed first or whether it was updated later but have had no problems.

I'm running Windows 7 x86 on my T60 (2007-FUG).
The X1400 display driver was acquired automatically through windows update and works flawless.

Windows 7 with Aero runs really well on this machine ^^

I must say I have some problem with that one as well.

I just can't find the driver, and system update finds nothing as well.
Any link to a workable driver?

Use the Vista driver from Lenovo's website...
