Power Manager Issues? (T43p)

#1 Post by tannerj » Mon Feb 08, 2010 1:05 am

Hey,

is anyone having trouble with the new ThinkVantage Power Manager software on Windows 7? I have a scheme setup that should dim my display to minimum brightness and throttle down the CPU and fan, but anytime I go from AC to battery it keeps my display at full brightness. It makes me wonder if it's really doing any of the CPU or Fan throttling. It would definitely explain my decreased battery life on Win7 if it isn't...

Windows 7 Power Manager active ALSO? bet you got both of them running.

Me I NEVER been a fan of TV software - most are JUNK ; in my view.
most stuff in win7 do work pretty well ( hate to admist that al i never been a fan of MS) so i would suggest use ONE or the OTHER, not both

On my T43P i have TV PM running Only (cause my prettier half - wants to see those little pink bars whenever she increases the VOLUME) so i chose to use TV PM with MAX PERF option set.
Rest of TV I never installed with Win7 Ulti - works nicely with SSD & upgraded Intel Proc. in this machine.
FYI - Win Exp Index = 7.0 - NOT THAT i ever worry about this 'marketing' stuff but somepple think its worth something!
