dragging a window not only by the title bar

#1 Post by Marin85 » Fri May 28, 2010 4:30 pm

In Linux there is this option of being able to drag the whole window no matter where exectly the cursor is placed within the window, by simply using Alt + left-click (usually). Once you get used to it, trying to pick a window in Windows by the tile bar in order to drag it somewhere becomes obscure... So, I am wondering, is there any hidden setting in Windows 7 or some small application that would enable such kind of dragging?

Hi yak,

Thank you a bunch for that link! This tool is really great! Not only does it enable this simplified way to drag windows in Window, but it also provides great way to resize windows and as an additional option automatic sticking! All I can say, it is simply awesome :) I can only recommend it. So far it sometimes becomes quirky with Firefox, but this is easily solved by pressing Alt + left-click again.

Cheers,

Marin

EDIT: This is a real supplement to the excellent ThinkPad keyboard! :D
