T60,Win 7 + mini dock s/pdif not working

Hi,
I´m having problem to get s/pdif sound out from advanced mini dock. Dock connected with rca-cable to amp and switched s/pdif to primary source in windows sound settings. Still not hearing anything. Tested that cable and amp does work without a problem. Googled for web some old topics about same issue on Vista and Xp machines and those were related to driver problem. I have tried the Soundmax driver that Windows Update offers and couple older Vista drivers but without success.

Machine: T60 2008-cto, Win7 32bit

Does anyone have working combination with dock and Win 7 ?

First of all do you have the correct sound card drivers installed?

I am using SoundmaX intergrated digital hd audio version 6.10.1.5510



I had issues initially with the windows 7 drivers default driver, then with the automatic soundMax ones, then I finally got it working with the version above using Windows Vista Drivers.

Have you selected the SPDIF interface to be the default sound device?




I also found that I had to set my harman/kardon sound system to coax 1 on the digital input before it worked.

any suggestions of similar problems on my R61 + 2503 advanced dock running windows XP? digital output doesn't even appear in the control panel sound options (like it does on my other laptop running win 7).
