Long time ago I started a topic about Vista x64 and generating of thumbnail previews for .pdf files (thread can be found here
). For those of us who use Adobe Acrobat (Pro) and now Adobe X (Pro) the problem was inherited in Windows 7 x64 as well, as Adobe still has not released a 64bit thumbnail preview handler... However, there is an 'unofficial' fix for this problem and I have just tested it myself and can confirm that it works like a champ (it actually seems faster than the original handler from Adobe for 32bit). The 'fix' can be found here: http://www.pretentiousname.com/adobe_pd ... index.html
(together with another 'fix' for the preview pane under 64bit Windows, however this one isn´t needed anymore as Adobe has already released a handler for this).
