Yeah, thats what I use on IE8. Works pretty good. But, it won't underline things that are spelled wrong, you have to use it like spell check in Microsoft word. But it works.Dude wrote:What is a good add on Spell Checker for Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, these days? Is ieSpell still a good one or is there something better?

Chrome and Opera definitely have spell-checkers in them which underline incorrectly spelled words, so you could consider switching from IE to that, but yes, I used IE Spell when I used IE8 before I switched and it was OK.

IE9 still doesn't have a spell checker
There we go, another browser with a spell checker, so really if you want a spell checker, you need to switch to another browser, and leave IE.dr_st wrote:As does Firefox.

Yep, seems like another sad miss for Microsoft.
Re: What is a good, add on Spell Checker for Microsoft IE8?
Why can't Microsoft see that they NEED that feature for IE9? It might help catch up with Firefox and Chrome. I think its like selling you a car without seats.

MS would need way more then just a "as you type" spell checker to catch up with most of the other browsers
