Well starting tomorrow Alberta is opening up eligibility so I can book an appointment to get the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine depending on what's available. Seems I'll have difficulty avoiding it as my family really wants me to get it.

Do YOU want to get it ? That's by far the most important part of the equation, IMO.

I'm like 90% indifferent about getting it or not, and 10% worried that they are suppressing information about side effects and specific reactions that I should really know about.

Well, you know your age, health and risk level better than anyone else.

Act accordingly.

Good luck.

If you have a family, you should not abstain if they don't.

I am not totally against vaccines and used appropriately they can save lives.
And the COVID situation is exactly one such situation. You see how everywhere where significant percentage of the population was vaccinated, cases drop (and so do deaths).
Cases have dropped because the faulty pcr tests, which produced inaccurate, wildly inflated figures for the number of infections, have been changed so that the cycle threshhold has been reduced from 40 to 28. This has largely led to the elimination of false positives.

The initial, ridiculously high figure, was chosen to create a sense of panic by claiming that so many people were recorded as infected, whereas in reality there was a vey high number of false positives. The tests were so ridiculous that even goats and fruit were diagnosed as being infected with Covid-19.

Nope. In Israel the rate drop went hand-in-hand with the vaccination progression, during which there have been no changes in the PCR tests or protocols. It's very clear. I don't know for sure what's going on in other countries, but it's pretty consistent with what we have here, so I imagine it's quite similar.

Of course, the anti-vaxxer bubble dwellers must come up with alternative explanations, and when it is hard to find basis to those in reality - result to made-up facts and downright lies.

This reminds me a little bit about AIDS denialists. For a while it seemed like maybe they were up to something. Until HIV-positive denialists started dying without treatment, and at some point it became impossible to blame it all on "life style choices".

I've lost more friends than I would want to count to AIDS.

The very first person ever to be officially diagnosed with it in my old neck of the woods was a friend of mine. Incredibly gifted guy. Who - like everyone else on that sad list - made some really bad decisions.

Apart from select few people in the very beginning who got it through blood transfusions, AIDS was - and still is - about "life style choices". It is mostly extinct in civilized societies outside of two groups. There's really no sugarcoating that fact.

Hey! Long time, etc…

Back in early November 2019, we went to the Biltmore House to do the Candlelight and Downton Abbey tours. Packed house, people from all over, stairs so using handrails etc etc. Big Petri dish, and I got… something. Tested for flu, strep, etc and not them. I was very, very, very sick, in bed for weeks and very sick until February. No one was testing for COVID-19 then, so this is just anecdotal. But, looking back, even my dr is convinced that’s what I had.

A year later, and I got my first (Pfizer) shot (uneventful) as soon as I could, second one two weeks later. I never want to go through what I had again.

Hope you are all doing well!

Hiya Jane!

Glad you recovered, hopefully without any long-term damage or consequences.

We apparently dodged a bullet during late 2019 and early 2020. Having been retired since Sept. 2019, we took some trips back East to visit with my daughter who was traveling across the country in an RV. Started early October 2019 with a one week trip to Portland / Bangor / Bar Harbor Maine, then a weekend trip to to a concert in Las Vegas in the middle of October and ending with week long trip to Orlando, FL end of Feb./beginning of Mar. 2020. Crowded cross-country flights, hours in airport terminal lounges waiting for connections, sea of humans at Disney Springs and Cape Canaveral; things that now make me semi-nervous.

Wife got the first Moderna shot last week, two days before I did. Second one is already scheduled for next month. I have always declined the yearly flu shots that come around. Never thought it was necessary as I've been very healthy during flu season. But in my mind COVID-19 is a different story.

Sounds like you had a great trip and escaped unscathed! I was working from home until a few years ago, and when I discovered Instacart, that cut my shopping trips and exposure a lot. Once I recovered from the mysterious virus, I went out normally. I just made sure to wear a mask. I’ve been very healthy since all that, not even getting little colds or flu-like illnesses. Other than The Annual Pollening, of course!

What are we currently seeing in India on our news? They are burning bodies from dead people who have died of Covid right?

Then we all should rush in and get our vaccines and that makes sense doesn't it. Fear is a great weapon.
Mark Twain wrote:“If you don't read the newspaper, you're uninformed. If you read the newspaper, you're mis-informed.”
https://indianexpress.com/article/india ... s-6365732/

What is the real story in India that we don't see on our news?

Tuberculosis is similar in some aspects to covid and it is an airborne disease that affects the lungs. The above website states that in 2018 440,000 people died of TB which equates to about 1200 per day.

So the bodies you are seeing being burnt are they really covid deaths or are they TB deaths? Are TB deaths being reclassified as covid deaths now?

latest study is that if your first and second shots are from different types of vaccines (eg: Pfitzer and AstraZenica) you are a little more likely to have a stronger reaction. Which is important information.

One would think that he's had enough of needles in this lifetime...but hey, his body his choice.

What I find way more interesting is that the people who are in charge of pushing the vaccine on the rest of us don't seem to be too interested in taking it themselves...

Regarding the Indian vaccine, has it been thoroughly tested? It's still new and I haven't found much data on it. Saying "vaccines are badz" seems like over-generalization.

In any case, India's vaccine supply problem is something they caused, as their gov't only bought 330 million doses and let the manufacturers sell the rest.

I like the Clapton song but it comes from his anguish at "being sold down the river". Clapton is very intuitive but he ignored this and let fear cloud his judgement.

Anyone who takes these vaccines has just donated their body to dark science I am afraid. The initial side affects from the vaccines are nothing compared to what is coming for you.

Front line Doctors from all over the world like Vernon Coleman are trying to tell you the truth but the sheep would rather listen to the media liars.

Cov19 is a war of fear on your mind. How easily will you surrender?

"Que sara sara" unfortunately.
