Tariff price on a PC

#1 Post by ThinkPad560X » Wed Oct 08, 2025 12:49 pm

How much is a tariff price on a PC from Europe or Asia? Can be a PC case or complete tower. Case/PC price around $200 for example.
I put a hold on buying anything outside of the US as the tariffs are costing more for the item.

You will also find out that many companies as well as private sellers refuse to ship the stuff to U.S. at this point in the game.

If you *absolutely must* buy something at present time, proceed at your own peril. Personally, I'd wait for the situation to quiet down in a couple of years.

I already lost 2 PC cases "Mid towers" from UPS and USPS. They just lost them. Large boxes. I got refunded but the sellers lost out. I gave up trying to order a case after the 2nd time getting lost. And these were sold with in the US.

UPS: Tracking - Out for delivery, marked as delivered. No picture of it dropped off and Never came.
USPS: Tracking paused at a sorting facility over a week, Marked as its on its way. and sat for 2 weeks and filed a claim with no answer since then.
Been over a month on both with no answers.

So I am done ordering anything offline until all this passes over which maybe a long time.

The only thing around me electronic PC wise is a bestbuy and its hardware in store is small to pick from.

Don't think you have to wait that long.
Nature or someone else will take care of that.
Pittsburgh isn't too far, and Cleveland is only about 2.5 hours.
Or take a day trip to Toronto.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!
