ThinkPads with Microsoft Windows 8
Windows 8 I guess will be coming out sometime next year. "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_8" Microsoft now is focusing on the touch displays as all smartphones iPads do, but will still support basic keyboard/mouse. I know lenovo made one (ThinkPad Tablet) with the Android software on it instead of Microsoft Windows. From the link above, Windows 8 can even come installed on a Flash Drive. I still have and use Microsoft Windows XP Professional witch is my favorit OS. But I do have a copy of Vista and 7 for try outs with having to keep up to date with being on the Internet now. So I just have a external 1TB HDD hooked up to my IBM ThinkCentre A50p with Windows XP original running on it with the external boot of 7, later 8. So is Windows 8 going to be another Vista/7 or is Windows 8 going to be a close version of "Never used" Andriod or Apples OS?

Re: ThinkPads with Microsoft Windows 8
I'm not really sure what Win8 will be. Little too close sounding to Windows 98 for my liking
I personally am tired of having to upgrade. I use what works for me. Still, after 10 years, Win XP. I have also started switching key computers to Linux. It's easier for me to test with a free OS.
I just purchased a couple X31 notebooks for work. Control systems I work with don't require much, so they should work nicely.
