Losing my hair, is there anything you can do.
More specifically, is anyone, or has anyone, tried taking Propecia to slow it down. Its not a matter of life and death, but given a choice i like having hair. If its as easy as taking a pill, why not.

Hi Paul
I fortunately have a full head of hair so can't directly answer your question, however a quick search mentions problems with sexual impotency which may be more serious than reported by the drugs company.
Also have a look at this site: http://www.propeciasideeffects.com/.
Can I also suggest you make sure the drug has been approved for use in UK and to investigate why it's not before going ahead.
Maybe my looks have never come very high on my list of important things in my life (or maybe I'm over 50!) but will potential baldness affect your life so much that you feel you need treatment like this? I know that a lot of my younger (balder) friends are shaving their heads and to me it looks stylish with the right styling / clothing etc.

Thanks for the links. The problem with the internet is it so hard to get an objective opinion (ie the truth). Thats why i'd like to hear from anyone who has taken it.

One of the better-known products is Regaine.

Being in the UK, you don't have to watch out too much for sunburns on your scalp.

Other options include hair implants, toupes, wigs, or as suggested before, shave off what's left and don't worry about it.Regaine wrote:Experiencing some hair loss is a fact of life for nearly every man. And 40% of men under 35 are already losing their hair. Why? Because it’s in their genes – it’s hereditary.
