Thank You for the heads up on the sale. I was able to order the drive at the low price without any problems.

My confirmation shows a backorder with an estimated shipping date of 04/26/05. Hope it does not get cancelled.

Mine has the same shipping date, and I think the page that I ordered it from said something about approximately 2 week wait.

Nope. I've purchased these drives from Dell before and I always check the warranty status on the Hitachi website as soon as I open the box containing them.

Here's one from the group I got last year:
