How accurate is your trackpoint ?

I like the trackpoint a lot for general laptop work, and to me it's easier than touchpads/trackballs. However, I still don't find it even remotely accurate/fast enough for serious gaming.

With that said, I did play a short (very amateur level) game of Quake III Arena with my friends from the dormitories a few years back on my laptop, using the trackpoint, and I managed to win that match, even scoring a few headshots with the Railgun.
