Yes, it is the 4GB FAT32 file size limitation.
Rather than attempting to format the flashdrive to NTFS, I purchased a USB HD enclosure.
Please let me know if you were able to successfully reformat your flashdrive to NTFS. I was afraid that I would corrupt (and render useless) a brand-new expensive 16GB flashdrive.
