IBM NetVista ThinClient 8363
Someone gave me a IBM NetVista ThinClinet 8363 and woundering what I can do with it. It came complete in box never really used. Has Windows CE on it.

Out of the box? I'm going with... not much, unless you have a thing for Win CE. It looks like, from what google is telling me, it shipped with a 16MB CF card, which Win CW boots off of.
If you were to upgrade to a larger CF card, it might be possible to get it to boot some flavour of linux.

Get an early Magic Jack (or buy it off me
).
I used that, together with a HP t5700 thin client, to run the (internet) phone in my wife's shop.
My machine has 1GHz CPU, 256MB RAM and a 6GB Microdrive inside and Windows XP SP3.

Eventually I upgraded that to the new MJ that doesn't need an OS any more.
Anybody interested in a slightly used HP t5700 thin client that's in excellent condition? Reasonable $55.- shipped!
Other uses include: print server (USB or parallel) or storage server with an external hard drive.
