Newtown, Connecticut.

#1 Post by killer » Mon Dec 17, 2012 6:22 pm

I feel very sad and sickened about what has happened at the school there. It is very surprising that nobody on here has mentioned the slaughter of so many young children.

One of the dead children was the son of an IBM UK employee. I worked for IBM UK for 26 years and my heart goes out to that family in particular. They thought they were going to somewhere that was safe.

Anyone else feel bad about this ... or am I alone?

You're not alone in thinking about the tragedy... I just don't have any words that would even remotely cover my thoughts... I just keep saying my prayers for strength and comfort for those personally involved ...

I'm pretty sure that you are not alone. However, given the nature of this atrocity, my guess is that the thread will disintegrate into a argument about gun control / rights or the handling of mental health issues in this country. I hope that's not the case....

We are all sickened by this terrorist act, and saddened for what the community must be going through so close to Christmas. Nobody mentioned it on these forums because it touches on the hotly-contested topics of health care and self-defense, and would eventually end up in a flamewar between people firmly entrenched in their political positions throwing parroted talking points at each other.

The purpose of posting this topic was to express my sadness and horror at what happened, and to provide the opportunity for others to join me.

Nothing more, and nothing less is intended.

If people wish to go off topic about the rights and wrongs of the system then I shall demand that the topic be locked and any of those postings be deleted.

It is extremely sad, they were so young, age does not matter, people should not be murder like that.

Let's remember the victims and not the horrible person that did this
