So I signed up with Amazon again early this morning, after having left them last year because of various issues. Sign up went fine, I clicked to order, entered my credit card information and placed the order. I got an email confirmation. Everything seemed fine, until I went back to log in to my account, and I was locked out.
Saying,
So I thought ok, that's weird, I did a password reset, twice, still the same thing. So after a call to Amazon, I finally got a call back from their investigator, who said there was a problem with the address verification on my credit card. Really? I've only been using it over two years at MANY other places, frequently, and I NEVER have any problems with it.There was a problem with your request
There was an error with your E-Mail/Password combination. Please try again.
Well after some back and forth and was close to having him close my account, I decided to give them another try, and he re-enabled my account. But now I have to order it again, and enter my credit card information again. Ok. So tonight after I got home, I placed an order for something else, once again enter my credit card information, everything goes through and get a confirmation email. Only to sign in to my account, same thing, locked out again!
So now I'm sitting on hold with Amazon and waiting for a supervisor to get on the phone, because I will have them close my account. This ticks me off to no end and is not a great start to a new relationship with Amazon, and I'm freaking washing my hands of them for good.
The only thing I can think is, because I changed my name in october and have since switched to a new email address, and because my credit card number and physical address is exactly the same as before, perhaps something is getting flagged in their system as a result. But this is freaking ridiculous.
Sorry for the rant and thanks for listening, I just needed to get that off my chest.
