Wake up check the weather listen to music while getting ready for work, dock in the car for nav and music, get to work dock with a keyboard and a couple monitors and I'm ready for work. Get home sync it with my tv and watch a tv or movies. That day I hope is almost upon us!
I dream of the same thing too, every day. If such a smartphone existed, I would own just one laptop instead of five and this laptop would probably be very dusty. Actually, even though my HTC Touch Pro2 is 4-year-old technology, it's already capable enough to replace traditional computers under many circumstances, for example note taking at seminars and internet access at home -- smartphones have been my only internet acess at home since 2007. It has already virtually replaced alarm clocks, calendars, cameras, camcorders, and pencil and paper. Unfortunately, while newer phones are much more powerful and have larger screens, this Touch Pro2 remains the best choice for me because I prefer to have a nice physical keyboard, which allows me to type much faster than on a virtual keyboard -- I am typing this post on my phone at up to 30+ words per minute. So, I am still waiting for a >5-inch smartphone with a well-designed slide-out keyboard. I am also hoping that it will have at least 512GB of storage so that I can store all my MP3 files on it. But with the phone manufacturers being obsessed with making ultrathin phones (which don't have slide-out keyboards), I am fairly certain this will be a very long wait.
