Something new you've got! *PICS*
Re: Something new you've got! *PICS*
Got myself a DMR radio. Not a big fan of the digital tech so i wanted to get away without spending the equivalent of a used car. So i got myself one of the first Tytera MD-380's. Sure not a motorola, but an excellent device for 170 dollars shipped.

New NEC P232W monitor I got for a great deal. The screen quality is amazing, to say the least. Being 1080p, it is a bit wide, but fine for the size.

Tripp LIte UPS. Frequent power outages and surges resulted in dirty filesystems on boot. This UPS is powering: 1) my NUC, 2) My wife's Mac Mini, 3) My FreeBSD file server, 4) monitors, a gigabit switch, and all other peripheral devices. Load is at one bar. These new machines sip power.

Blue enter key. This completes the retro T4x keyboard look I was going for. Colors don't match up exactly, but it's close enough.

Since our beloved topic is fairly dead it is good time to rise it from its grave
Somehow i cannot deal with my sickness and since my last post here I did acquired fair number of classic and modern/recently released Thinkpads. Summing up it may be about 30 different models I do keep in my apartment at this moment. Here's picture of 2 of my newest units - an L450 (i5/FHD) on the left and T460 (i5/FHD) on the right. To deal with the biggest weak spot of these two I did managed to buy NOS ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint - it took me almost 2 years to find it on my poor polish market. Beside that I did found another precious unicorn for my frankenpad - an UltraBay RS232/Centronics Adapter - which I do love A LOT (until now I had to carry additional x61s w/Ultrabay to handle older industrial automation equipment. Yet I can dual-boot W7/XP on my frankie and do everything I need to do on single unit. And these two pictured below serve me as an couch leisure units, no less no more.

Bought Smart Card readers for both my T520 & T510 i7 machines. They installed without a hitch with only light mods on the keyboard bezels.
Now I just have to find a card that will work with a stand alone machine.
