Adding OEM info under Windows Vista and above

#1 Post by ThinkPad560X » Sun Jun 23, 2013 5:24 am

I have the 2 sets of IBM's OEM INFO witch you add under Windows system32 folder. One is for Windows 95-2000 the other is XP. (Only diffirence is the OEM background of the logo for 95/2K is grey while XP is white) I added the same files under Windows 7, but its not showing up. Older Windows 95-2000 you had to have them just under the folder system and XP under system32, Not sure if the OEM logo needs adjusted "used XPs" I dont think IBM used there OEM under Windows Vista and above. I have the lenovo's Windows XP OEM logo / INFO to. I think I got it to work on my ThinkPad T40 back in 2006 for Windows Vista, but just forgot how to do it.

IBM Thinkpad A31 2.0GHz Pentium 4, 768MB RAM, 40GB HDD and a ATI 7500 16MB shimmed
Lenovo T420 4236-PA8: WiFi card replaced with a Broadcom one (fixes most DPC latency), 64GB Crucial M4 SSD added as OS drive, original HDD in a DVD to HDD caddy.
