Anyone know how to get hotkeys working on a G500s with Win7?

I got a G500s after my X200s died on me. Sure it isn't a ThinkPad but it was in my budget of 500 dollars and has nice specs. Well after using, and hating Windows 8 I ended up putting 7 back on it. The problem is, my hotkeys work but not 100%, If I press the volume keys, it will adjust the volume but not show up on screen. Same for brightness. Some, like the "airplane mode" wireless toggle don't work at all. I have all of the drivers from Lenovo's website but it don't seem to help...
