On getting Lenovo to listen regarding 7-row keyboards

#1 Post by Frotz » Wed Nov 27, 2013 5:20 am

Sometime last year someone said something about the only thing that would convince Lenovo to offer 7-row keyboards again would be for some big buyer to want 15,000 of them. I was thinking that perhaps we could get at least 1000 to put down money towards something like this. I'm thinking of a Kickstarter sort of thing and a deal with Lenovo to agree to do this if we come up with the money. Is this reasonable? Who would be the person at Lenovo to talk to regarding this?

I have not yet seen one of the new style keyboards so i'm no one to remark but other seasoned thinkpad guru's have and most are with you..

The number probably comes from the famous post http://blog.lenovo.com/perspectives/dis ... ange-again about IPS displays. I don't think that anything can convince Lenovo to bring useful keyboard layout back. Especially if there are basic design flaws like this one http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=112273 without any reponse from Lenovo. They just don't care. ThinkPad as a workstation is dead
