1024x768 LCD 15" monitor playing 1080P videos ?
So if I play 1920x1080 resolution videos on 1024x768 PC monitor(2004 mfg year) what do I exactly get ?
- How buying a 1920x1080 or more resolution modern monitor help me to get a better video quality ?
(What do I miss if I play videos with my old PC monitor ?)

How big minimum(as small as possible 15"-18" or so...) inches computer monitor must I have to get best out of new 1920x1080 videos ?

Those 1080p videos will look like 720p videos instead. You won't know what you are missing until you get a better monitor.

There is a Wikithat may help you.

WUXGA, FHD and 1920x1080 pixel dimensions is what you should be looking for to be able to get the proper pixels.
You wouldn't have to worry about interlacing.

You'll just have to check the FPS the monitor produces and the contrast ratio as well compared to your old unit.
But it'll be a nice upgrade once you go to WUXGA. 8)
