Any actual difference between these two versions of WIN7?

#1 Post by leoblob » Wed Mar 26, 2014 1:02 am

Got to finally take care of this (XP-->WIN7) and I've realized there's 2 versions that look identical to me.

Can someone help me figure out which one to buy (it's for my Intellistation)?

Thanks! :)

Looks identical to me. Just because the vendor messed up or choose to call it a different name doesn't mean it's two different version. A rose by any other name is still....

The only differences I can think about for retail would be 32 vs. 64bit, languages, and maybe the inclusion of SP1 on the install medium.

There are also other variations out there like K, N and KN. I once came across these when working with volume installs, but not sure if these are available for retail versions. I found out that the N version came without WMP, while K was for the Korean market, so I didn't use neither.
