Is 32-bit Ending soon?
Ive been seeing alot of new PC games requirements that state Windows 7/8 64-bit and processor Intel Core i7 witch the processor is to be 64-bit too for the Windows to install 64-bit version. All my PC I own are all 32-bit except for my IBM X3200 server tower that is 64-bit. Will Windows 10 end the 32-bit, And havent seen any new PC since 2006 and just stayed with and upgraded my IBM PCs after discontinuing my business of fixing IBM PCs in 2006. But are all new laptops and desktop coming with Windows 8.1 64-bit now?

Re: Is 32-bit Ending soon?
I haven't seen a 32-bit system being sold, brand new, in years. (The newest I recall seeing were the Intel Atom-based Netbooks.)
Everything's going that direction, even though 32-bit is still being supported, so I'd suggest at least getting a decent 64-bit system to play around with. It doesn't have to replace your daily driver or anything.
Not to say that 32-bit machines aren't useful anymore. In fact, I've found that I've been going back to my T43p (still running Windows XP) more often than not, since I'm coming across old software that won't run in a modern 64-bit OS.

Re: Is 32-bit Ending soon?
I'd say 32-bit has already ended in terms of new software and hardware. The computing world has dug itself so far into the advantages of 64-bit (particularly memory address space).
Don't think for a moment that your old 32-bit only machines will be totally useless. Microsoft and all web-standards have done a brilliant job maintaining a line of 32-bit support and 32-bit variants of software, keeping older machines in the loop.
Makes me wonder what the situation will be for 128-bit.

Trying my hardest to collect Thinkpads, but college and being broke kinda gets in the way. However...

32 bit, from a sales point of view, has already been dead for a while.
As for usage, it won't be anytime soon. I still have loads of 16 bit programs I use at work.

Re: Is 32-bit Ending soon?
I would think 32 bit will be dead when most major businesses cannot use 32 bit programs/systems in their upgraded machines.
This will probably be in 10-15 years from now.

My understanding is that W10 will be available in 32-bit flavour, at least the preview is...
