On Screen Display - Mystery Icon on B590 Desktop
Has anyone encountered a "mysterious icon" that appears on your desktop having to do with the On Screen Display program? I know it is connected somehow with the OSD program because the icon can be easily removed with a Control-Left (or right) Arrow keystroke combo, and then, voila, the OSD then works and the icon vanishes. Puzzling. I use a Lenovo B590 with Win 7 64 bit. Screenshot of icon attached.

How does one attach an image to a posted question? (I'm a newbie here.)

Upload your picture to e.g. imgur or photobucket, and then post the LINK to it here.

I believe that icon is telling you that the touchpad is disabled. Mind you, I've never seen a B590 up to now and it's just a guess based on the shape of the icon.
Also moving this to Off Topic as it's not a Thinkpad and doesn't really fit any other category in this forum.

Thanks for the help, Ray. btw, the touchpad is never disabled, before or after enabling the OSD by a ctr/arrow keystroke. Gotta be something else.

Just for grins, what do you see when you hit Fn+F6 (which I believe enables/disables the touchpad)?

I see from the Lenovo forum that the icon represents the TouchPad lock.
