Bluetooth Headsets

#1 Post by jronald » Thu Dec 11, 2014 4:53 pm

OK, need info:
Uunderboi wants/needs a set of head phones. He destroys the cords, so bluetooth is what Im looking at. I KNOW NOTHING! He is running a T60p. I dont think it has Bluetooth, although Im sure I have a factory module around here somewhere.

What do I need to know?

Ron

BT would be inside the lid, on the left side of the LCD cable when you remove the LCD-bezel.
BT-module looks like this:

Hello,
If you have money on your hand, you can buy a bluetooth dongle like this one : http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-Wireless-Bl ... 5afa111aff

and if you're running Windows, buy this software : http://www.bluesoleil.com/products/S000 ... 80001.html

and the last thing, buy a bluetooth headphone like this one : http://www.ebay.com/itm/In-Ear-Bluetoot ... 2edab2c780

you can change the earphone with any earphone (or headphone) that uses 3.5 mm jack.

bluetooth software on windows doesn't support A2DP feature, but with Bluesoleil, it is possible. You can listening to music, answering phone calls (if you have voice-enabled modem), doing voice chat via skype, and pairing GPS receiver to your laptop :)
Hello world.

I was thinking a headset like this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wireless-Blueto ... 3f37d7d612
Either with the internal Bluetooth or
http://www.ebay.com/itm/301169136165?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

Why the software, will it not work for ok music and Minecraft out of the box? Currently its on XP.

Thanks
Ron

because of this article :

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library ... s.85).aspx

the last time I've tried to pair my bluetooth headset using Windows 7's bluetooth, I'm having trouble pairing it out ..
I don't know if there is an update on windows 7 so A2DP feature is enabled by default :)
but I see on bottom line on above link that windows 7 is now support HFP 1.5 and A2DP v1.2

since you're on XP, you'll need to upgrade your OS to at least vista or 7 ... but if you want to stick with XP, then bluesoleil is your answer for pairing bluetooth headsets :)

or maybe there is another way which others knew and I haven't figured it out on winXP :)
