Does IBM make any kind of hardware now?
Does IBM make any kind of hardware PC wise? I know they sold their PCs to Lenovo in 2005 and their Servers in 2014. I'm looking for a new /used IBM monitor that is a LED or OLED 1080p 22"-26". Will fit in fine with all the rest of my IBM hardware. I think I have the last you could get of IBM, a 20" LCD monitor, and for the 2nd PC using a IBM black CRT monitor for older games.
I was wanting to get a IBM T221 4K monitor 22" awhile back but they are too much and old LCD now "2001 built in" and doesn't work with todays PC much and it required a certain graphics card of that time.

Unless you're looking for a full-blown hi-end server the answer is "no" to the best of my knowledge.ThinkPad560X wrote:Does IBM make any kind of hardware PC wise?

Yeah, I only know of that super computer Watson and that's it, Maybe IBM will sell it to Lenovo too. From what I can remember, they went to a all service something like a cloud data storage or something.
I just read online and they only make one kind of hardware now and its just Main Frames.

I'm guessing they don't make POS anymore too.

Point of Sales, store registers and computers. http://www.cullmanpc.com/ibmpos.jpg
There was about a few brand new stores that opened up and got the IBM POS registers but that could just be old new stock.
To answer question, No IBM sold their POS line to Toshiba in 2012. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_Retai ... _Solutions
IBM sales
ThinkPad and desktop line - 2005 Lenovo
IBM POS "Point of Sale" line - 2012 Toshiba
Think/Blade Servers line - 2014 Lenovo
Current IBM MainFrames
So I guess they are almost completely out of hardware making.
I wanted to stay with IBM hardware since I work IBM repair in 2003-2007 and know how to fix them very easily. Compaq was my 2nd favorite brand next to DELL, Don't know how well their hardware is now today.

They also make the Power Systems - the descendants of RS/6000 (aka eServer pSeries, aka System p) and AS/400 (aka eServer iSeries, aka System i) - which are below the System z (or... now it's zEnterprise, IIRC) mainframes.
Current: 365XD (120 MHz, 72 MiB, 6.4 GB, 4x CD-ROM, 10.4" TFT)
Past: T61p 15.0" QXGA, T60p 15.0" QXGA, X61 Tablet SXGA+, R51e 14.1" XGA, X21

Re: Does IBM make any kind of hardware now?
Once you have the T221 fitted with two double-bandwidth DVI connectors, it'll work with any 'sane' GPU that has proper drivers. Your only other option would be a L200p which was their last 'budget' monitor.
They do (or did) still make displays featuring the grey with black printed IBM logos, but they're hard to find and generally coupled with proprietary equipment.
