Where to sell a workstation online?

#1 Post by oeuvre » Thu Aug 13, 2015 12:23 pm

Hi,

I'm selling my HP Z400 workstation and I was wondering where are some good places to sell it online. I don't want to do Craigslist cause I do not want random people coming to my house, etc.

It's on eBay right now, but was wondering where else to sell it... only want to ship it within the US. Thanks.

It's not a six core and these are LGA1366 based Xeons.

I'll try our Marketplace, RBS. Thanks.

It's not worth shipping something so big and heavy.

Advertise on Craigslist, but meet the buyer in a public place other than your home. I have sold hundreds of items (including computer towers) through Craigslist, and I always meet the buyer either in my office or in public. The buyer gets to test the equipment to confirm it works, so they can't come back later and claim that it's defective. I don't need to pay any PayPal or eBay fees, or postage. For a desktop/minitower, I hook it up to a monitor, keyboard and mouse so that the buyer can play with it for a few minutes before paying.
Microsoft Surface 3 (Atom x7-Z8700 / 4GB / 128GB / LTE)
Dell OptiPlex 9010 SFF (Core i3-3220 / 8GB / 8TB); HP 8300 Elite minitower (Core i7-3770 / 16GB / 9.25TB)
Acer T272HUL; Crossover 404K; Dell 3008WFP, U2715H, U2711, P2416D; Monoprice 10734; QNIX QHD2410R; Seiki Pro SM40UNP
