One thing I would note after using my Dell 5420/6420s for a while... compared to my T420/420s, I can say there's a remarkable difference in screen quality... the AUO 900p panel just looks better than whatever I have in my 420s.

I think the 1,600 x 900 panels in the 420/420s is even a step below the 1,400 x 900p panels in my 410/400s which just about says it all since they arent great panels either.

Honestly, the 14" LVDS panels in any of them are pretty bad, coming from a 14" T60p. It isn't until the E6440 and Lenovo/HP cousins that we started to get decent 14" 16:9 panels. Unfortunately they're all eDP!
