TBK File. Help, please!
I suffered some kind of crash and lost a major section of work done on a screenplay. It was an MMSW (Movie Magic Screenwriter File) but now it's a TBK file and I can't open it. When I go online, ESET keeps telling me to back out of the sites that offer to "fix it." I can't get any information anywhere on how to convert the file. Can anyone tell he how to restore it into some readable form. I use Windows 7 on a Lenovo X220. Thanks so much. - Julia

Re: TBK File. Help, please!
From what I can gather searching online, Movie Magic Screenwriter makes backups at predetermined intervals, although the files are supposed to have a .tmb (timed backup) extension. Either they changed it from .TBK or that file belongs to something else. If the crash you experienced was disk related, then it's possible that you lost some, most or all of the file. If that's the case it might be possible to recover the original file using something like an "undelete" utility but usually that requires that you do not make any changes to the file system; like deleting more files or creating new ones.
I would contact the makers of Movie Magic Screenwriter (http://www.write-bros.com/movie-magic-screenwriter.html) and see what they say.
