Verizon Home Fusion 4G LTE Broadband System
I am looking at a Verizon Home Fusion 4G LTE Broadband System complete on ebay. If I get this will it still be data caped and will I get better then 0.10Mbps? I had the Verizon MiFi witch was data caped and we went above the 10GB and it was $80.

Re: Verizon Home Fusion 4G LTE Broadband System
As to your plan being data capped, that's a question Verizon can answer (it should also be in the fine print of your contract). The data connection speed totally depends on how close you are to one of their cell towers. If you are in an area that has a gap in coverage, then you're not going to get any data. If it were me, I'd ask around your immediate area (friends, neighbors) if they have a Verizon 4G LTE phone and see what kind of download speed they have using something like Ookla Speedtest app (speedtest.net) before buying into a system.
edit: Corrected Verizon typo.

Re: Verizon Home Fusion 4G LTE Broadband System
I did some legwork for you by looking into the Verizon Home Fusion system and this is what I found:
ref: http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/Veri ... ves-119016
ref: http://www.pcworld.com/article/254900/v ... rsday.html
ref: http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/ ... lled-faqs/
- This system was initially offered starting in 2012. It consists of an external (outside) antenna which is connected to a broadband router inside the house. You can then attach up to 4 computers (via ethernet) and 20 wireless (WiFi) systems. Cost of the equipment was $200 and installation was free. Data plans available were $60/mo for 10GB, $90/mo for 20GB and $120/mo for 30GB. Data overages from subscribed plan was $10 per GB; in other words, no "cap" but it could get expensive.
- It has since been discontinued around mid-2014 in favor of what they are now calling "LTE Internet (Installed)".
- Said service includes "free" equipment and installation and a 2-year contract. There is also a $20 monthly "access" fee, in addition to the data plan that you subscribe to (prices are the same as above).
- It's not clear to me that the current service allows you to "bring-your-own" equipment (i.e, use the Home Fusion hardware with the LTE Internet (Installed) service) or if it is even compatible with current 4G LTE system. One would assume that an older 4G LTE receiver will work but then again, one should never assume anything when it comes to a phone company.

I did some legwork myself. Get a Verizon JetPack, problem solved. That uses the LTE network.

Re: Verizon Home Fusion 4G LTE Broadband System
I believe that the OP has already gone that route in the past (initially $50/mo for 5GB, then $80/10GB with Verizon MiFi) and apparently there were some problems with either the speed not being advertised/expected or the service was too expensive (given the amount of data being consumed). OP is/was looking for the Holy Grail in broadband data connections; unlimited data at around $70/mo for multiple wired and wireless systems. I don't think that's going to happen with any of the major carriers and probably not even the minor ones either. T-Mobile comes close with "unlimited" music and video streaming but it only covers certain sites/services (YouTube is one of the significant exclusions) and I don't think it's available with any of the mobile broadband (i.e., WiFi/MiFi hotspot) data plans. My understanding is that it's meant to be used only with phones/tablets but I could be wrong. In other words, call T-Mobile and ask if you're interested.
Regarding cell phone 4G LTE coverage... Verizon's map is very general; just indicating 4G LTE is available in the area. No "fair', "good", "excellent" ratings at all. As far as T-Mobile is concerned, their 4G LTE coverage map says "fair" for the area in which I believe the OP resides.

Whichever cellular carrier offers *proven* reliable service in the OP's immediate area is the one whose offerings should be looked into.

Re: Verizon Home Fusion 4G LTE Broadband System
The guy I was going to bid on the Verizon HF told me what the plan they had with it. $120 for 30GB, He told me I shouldn't buy it and that he moved to Sprint and said to get unlimited from Sprint, tell them you own a business and need a business account for unlimited. But the problem is all the Sprint Stores in my area "4" closed out around 4-5 years ago. And we dropped sprint phone service because we couldn't find a place to pay our bill in store. The last closes one was a in the main city from us and it was the last closed one.
I get why all these ISP want data cap select plans because it gives them more money and they do away from unlimited so you can go over your limit and pay more. Even home ISP are wanting to do this in some states now. Mine said its still unlimited but for how long. And if that day ever comes, then I will for sure cancel them very easily. And the seller of the Verzion HF told me they have Windows 10 and it would always take up their data quickly with auto updates.
None of this internet makes since today , all the tech companies want you internet connected all the time 24-7 with everything but then you are data caped
I searched the Sprint website https://business.sprint.com/shop/busine ... SharePlans and cannot find anything with unlimited data but just hotspot GB sizes.
Would this be good to get? https://yourkarma.com/how-it-works

Re: Verizon Home Fusion 4G LTE Broadband System
If you have Sprint coverage, consider Karma Go https://yourkarma.com/ $149 for the hotspot ($99 during CyberWeek), $50/month, "unlimited" use throttled at 5Mbps.
If you have TMobile coverage, https://4gantennashop.com/ has been offering better pricing ($60/20GB) for higher volume deals for HSPA+ and LTE hotspot use, and may have hotspots/modems that permit external antennas. Offers seem to change every few weeks, so YMMV - correspond with the CEO and he may extend "expired" promotions.
There are gray-market contract options for "unlimited" AT&T LTE you can "rent" ($100+/mo) on Ebay. We have one for our cabin, which replaced the VZW Jetpack we used to have on Millenicomm.
[Not cheap, but the peace and quiet afforded by the locale is ... "priceless".]

I can get any cellphone converge in my area. I don't live in the middle of no where, I live off a major highway and their is lots of towers around. My cellphone from when I had Sprint/AT&T and now Verizon all have full bars.
