BIOS updates on the way to fix problem says Intel
Four days ago Intel reported that its engineering department had identified the issue which "only occurs under certain complex workload conditions... [when] the processor may hang or cause unpredictable system behaviour".

Do you remember the Pentium FDIV bug ? (note it is unrelated to this issue)

I read the article on ArsTechnica relating to this. The first thing that came to mind was the old FDIV bug from back in the day. Glad to see I'm not the only one who remembers that.

Or I'm just that old now. Ugh. 8)
