While getting informations about the history, my brain decided to maybe just start a video introducing the A Series in general, since I have a junk A20m and A22p, I might as well include some design points and innovative implementations IBM introduced with these series.
Then I thought "might as well talk about the T20, and the introduction of the R30, and the real differences between them all", since I had somewhat trouble finding information on these myself when I frst started hoarding collecting classics.
After spending more time than I even thought I would, my gears in my brain are bugging me about the T21. If it was the first T2x to have an optional 14.1" SXGA+ panel or the T20.
I am basing most of my information via ThinkWiki, it doesn't state that it came with an SXGA+ panel on the T20 page.
Checking the T21 page, it says that it can come configured with it.
However, checking the TFT Display page, it states that there was an LG-Philips panel with FRU 46L2495.
I am thinking that the panel is compatible with the T20 with the proper cable, but it was never released via the factory with one, which is why its not said on the T20 page.
Actually I always thought that the T23 was the first introduce a 14.1" SXGA+ panel...
Anyways the information would be lovely to have. Its no big deal if I'm wrong as I could always annotate the video later after uploading.
I will be citing and sourcing information from TPF as well, and especially giving credit to you ThinkPadders who've I've read and learned everything I needed to know about TP collecting.
After seeing the videos of BBISHOPPCM, LazyGameReviews, GreenHamGaming, vwestlife & The 8-Bit Guy (iBookGuy), it inspired me to add my collection and information I learned and talking about the history of ThinkPads, especially the rare, collectable and innovate landmarks they had in laptop history.
Ultimately I would like to get interviews with the TPF community, maybe I would be able to get down on how some of us get this ThinkPad collecting bug & why we hold onto em, other than them being awesome.
