#1 Post by jronald » Fri Sep 30, 2016 8:56 pm

RAVPower FileHub, WiFi Bridge, SD Card USB Reader, 3000mAh External Battery,White RP-WD01
http://www.ravpower.com/downloads-RP-WD01.html#RP-WD01

Should look like 2.000.XXX. I have found a referance to 2.000.221, but cant seem to find ANY firmware. Already have a email into the manf.

Thanks

Interested to see if you find anything since I've got one of these too.

Found this:
https://github.com/digidem/filehub-config
https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/ravpower/rp-wd02

And on the RAVPower site found this:

Q15.Why you couldn't find the latest version of firmware in site?
The reason why we deleted the part of firmware, is that some customers can‘t help upgrading their unit mistakenly and then so many customer's device have broken down within upgrading by mistake. Actually, our suggestion is please do not upgrade it if your filehub works well, due to some risks of breakdown within upgrading. If you’d still like to upgrade it or with other reasons, we will send you the latest firmware and instruction via support email, just contact us.

I found both of those also, one is a hack, the other is for the W02.

It worked fine, the problem was the charging LED would never go off, until it killed the battery! Which kind of defeats the purpose. The Verbatim appears to be the same, the firmware is labeled the same, but the Ravpower will not accept the file type. I sent it back but I bet the guy will resell it just the same.
