price?

I'm of the opinion 7" is getting too small for this to be useful.

First couple pictures looks like a macbook clone. A neat but mostly impractical device. You would probably get some bad neck pain trying to look down at such a small screen. Also, the "trackpoint" is in the wrong place  .
Current Thinkpads: W530 (functional classic keyboard mod), X301, T61, T60, T43, T23, 600X, 770
Other: mk5 Toughbook cf-19, mk1 Toughbook cf-53

10" is about the bounds of what is usable at say FHD so you have plenty of choices there.

Heaps of Chinese units at reasonable prices if you can stand z8700 performance.

I would prefer Ockel Sirius A http://www.notebookcheck.net/Ockel-unve ... 690.0.html

It is smaller with no "keyboard" and has LAN port. The only issue is lack of mobile LTE connectivity.

@brchan. You ever see a Sony VAIO P Series from 2008/2009? It has the "trackpoint" in the middle, but still a ridiculously small screen for $800+. Then they released a second generation version with touchpads on the sides of the screen to help scroll while holding it with two hands...

I saw one in person a few years ago, but really any device so small is going to be impractical for real work. I can't comfortably use widescreen machines (16:9 in particular) that are less than 15.6".

thats not the norm

eg. I have used FHD machines down to 13"

11-12" is getting a tad ridiculous though... you be needing font size boost to 125% or more

I have the "GPD win", which is their 5.5" game oriented windows device.

I was pleasently suprised by the quality, keeping in mind it is a niche market AND the price is rather low at 299$ including shipping.

However i think it is interesting to see a new breath of life to the UMPC market. Declared dead by many (due to the smartphones), a lot of devices have surfaced recently:

The very cheap (but bulky) "GOLE 1". The very small "Ockel Sirius A". The Gaming oriented "Smach Z" and "GPD win". That is a lot of devices.

Back to the "GPD pocket". It is a rather interesting device. However i dont think i would call it pocketable. In a jacket? Maybe. However it is bigger than the "Win", which is barely more than pocketable.

Fujitsu ARROWS Tab V567/P http://www.fujitsu.com/global/about/res ... 17-01.html

6" FHD tablet with Windows 10, unfortunately without mobile internet connectivity option. That will be advantage of ARM based Windows devices that has built-in mobile internet connectivity support.

I like this and want it just to be a replacement for the tablet market... tablets are not useful to me because it's just my phone with a big screen... I was loving the netbooks but they are so under powered... I own two of HP top of the line netbooks one from windows xp netbook era and one from windows 7 netbook era... now if the windows 7 one came with windows xp it may be a tad bit better but it would still be too slow imo... if this came with an i3 even a low end one I would buy it right now.... the sony umpc could be modified to take a core 1 duo so it's possible for them to try to use an i3 cpu
