Happy (belated) Father's Day
Yesterday I was too busy to think about it but I'm off work today. Yesterday was my first father's day without a father. He passed back in January. To anyone who can, tell your dad you love him and at some point try to do something nice with him.

Re: Happy (belated) Father's Day
AlphaKilo470,
Thank you for your post and my sympathies for your father passing away.
My father passed on 12-30-12 and I visited his grave yesterday for Father's Day. I really miss him. With my pop, I knew that he loved me but he never said the words, until about 5 months after my mom passed. She passed 8/07 and he said I Love You in 1/08. He immigrated from Italy (along with mom) and was old school with expressing certain emotions.
From that point on, I/he would say those words and get the response back from one another. There is more to this story but that's for another time.
Take care,
John

It's good to see you back - even for a split second - and under less-than-optimal circumstances.AlphaKilo470 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2017 10:13 amYesterday was my first father's day without a father. My condolences. This past January marked 43 years since my Dad's untimely departure, and I can only say that the ones who got to enjoy the company of their parents for a longer period of time - including all disagreements that are a part of one's family life - are blessed indeed.
