Software switch for bluetooth?

#1 Post by jronald » Sun Feb 04, 2018 9:17 am

I have installed a combo bluetooth/wifi card in my desktop, its a HP if it matters. I have the wifi up and running just fine. Can not load the drivers for bluetooth to save my life. "Cant find equipment" or some such garbage. Any suggestions?

Was the original a combined card?

If not and you removed the original Bluetooth card, there's your problem. The system is looking for a Bluetooth card where it is supposed to be, not combined with a wi-fi card.

Its a combo card. The wifi drivers loaded right up. Can NOT get bluetooth to load no matter what I try.

C'mon, be a bit more informative, so people can help you!
- What wifi/bluetooth card?
- What OS?
- Have you tried a Linux Live CD?

You may need a BIOS without wifi-whitelist for that HP desktop...

It does not tell me anything about the wrong card, it just will not let me find it, or load the drivers to find it. The WFi came up and ran just fine, although I get better speed in the wire.
