So we are going with Spectrum, and I would like to provide my own router/wifi.
Pretty basic, so NOS may be the ticket.
Fastest thing we own is N
Incoming is 100mb so faster is not really better.
Wireless is just laptops
Wired it would be nice to have gig, but not necessarily
Easy of use, a decent GUI would be nice
$100 to $125?
I have tons of the WGT54 (or what ever) Linksys
Thanks
Ron

Router Recommendation
I see in my son's eyes, each day, the wonders I have squandered fortunes to possess and have sought my entire lifetime to attain. jrr 09/2011

Re: Router Recommendation
Might as well be prepared for the future.
I would suggest something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-ASUS-T-Mob ... 3284750170
I just got such a T-mobile router because it was a lot cheaper than a "real" ASUS one, and immediately upgraded it back to its original ASUS RT-AC68U.
Easy enough once you have found the proper instructions: http://www.bayareatechpros.com/ac1900-to-ac68u/
Once that was done, I went one step further and updated it with the latest firmware from Asuswrt-Merlin https://asuswrt.lostrealm.ca/
Change the router's DNS to (Cloudflare's) 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 and off you go.
You now have a router that can do WiFi 802.11a/b/g/N/AC, has 4 Gigabit ports, a USB2.0 port (to which my printer is connected) and a USB3.0 port (to which my external HD [soon NAS] is connected).
I have used Asus forever and a day, never any problems.
Because our house is fairly big (3500 sqft), I also got a TP-Link RE450 wifi-N/AC Range extender, which is great for e.g. streaming Netflix.
The above replaced my Asus RT-N66U wifi-N router and Diamond WR300N wifi-N extender.
