Samsung Galaxy Note 9 explodes again

#1 Post by Puppy » Sun Sep 16, 2018 11:36 am

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 explodes inside woman's purse in New York

While many of us are being disappointed by Lenovo products quality lately, it can be always much worse. Especially if they did it again :? Having four Microsoft phones total I still praise its quality. By the way, almost fours years old Microsoft Lumia 950XL has better display specs than the latest most expensive iPhone.

I replaced a battery last week in a Galaxy S7 Edge that was on the verge of exploding. Thanks to the old battery it was very easy to get the back cover off of the phone without heat.

Hmmmm.....we'll see if this is an isolated incident or another mass problem. I can't believe Samsung would allow this to ever happen again. Apple, Sony and Dell seems to learn from their similar issues.

Oh shi- !
Solid state batteries can't come soon enough. And Samsung would be wise to invest billions to speed up the commercialisation of the techno.

Mine did not get that far. But as I indicated above, it had swelled up so big from charging that the back cover was completely de-glued from the edge of the phone where the battery sits closest.

This phone was not in service because I was irritated with how the phone functioned. I went back to my HTC One Max but used the Galaxy S7 Edge for its outstanding camera and video capability. The phone is in service once again with the fresh battery as the HTC One Max battery is now going downhill quickly and it too will need replacing shortly. That battery however has had a normal lifespan and is around six years old now.

This again? When will Samsung realise that their battery's are faulty?

Its not about Branding (Samsung , Mi or any other ) its about the usage and faults from the manufacturing side.
less Gaming and mobile usage can help you out , less prone to over heating .

Smartphone use should be less as Technology is taking over........

No it has nothing to do with that.

No other manufacturer has exploding phones. Samsung hasn't figured out how to keep the battery cool and not to jam a huge battery into a small space. The batteries don't like that too much.

The battery I replaced in my Galaxy S7 has bitten the dust. It uses about 58% of the battery in 20 minutes and then shuts off. Tells me it has 0 charge and needs plugged in. POS battery for certain, or POS phone. One of the two, or both.

I will never buy another Samsung phone. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with any phone.

I've had three Motorola phones in the past before the HTC One Max and the Galaxy, so I went back to Motorola and bought the Z3. It's all I need in a cell phone and it was a lot cheaper than the flagship phones from Samsung, Google, and the like. Plus, I get the 1/2" bigger screen that I had with the HTC. I missed that.

I hope this one isn't going to give me any battery problems.

Sounds like you got a fluke battery. I've been buying from Samsung since ~2010 and I've never had an issue.

Let me count how many have I had?
2x Focus S
2x Epic 4G
2x Relay 4G
1x Exhilarate
1x Note
1x S2
1x S5
1x S8
2x A3 2017

And not a single one has a problem.

After receiving the Motorola Z3 (nice phone BTW) I proceeded to delete my data after transfer from the Galaxy. I was removing it from the phone case and the back popped just the same as it did the first time. Right along the edge where the battery sits in the chassis.

Of course I did not know the battery was swelling at the time because it was locked into this case.

The Z3 is working nicely so far.

Every phone seem to explode once or twice. When you make a few million devices, a few are going to be bad no matter how hard you try.

I liked the "dramatically". Was there suspense music involved? Did it happen just as the owner was about to reach some sort of enlightenment?

Work upgraded our Note 5s to Note 9s last week. So far it hasn't done anything weird to itself.
