ONE reason for the 2nd Amendment
Re: ONE reason for the 2nd Amendment
All this talk by reasonably balanced forum members makes one think what deranged Americans must think about with their cache of weapons. LOL

+*insert big number here*
They aren't mutually exclusive....they're on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Re: ONE reason for the 2nd Amendment
I did qualify my comment by saying "reasonably balanced forum members".
This forum is about making Thinkpads great again and they were until 2012. IMHO

Re: ONE reason for the 2nd Amendment
Saying make [anything] great again brings on a pretty bad connotation...not mention any names.
And were not making Thinkpads' great again...were reviving their past into usable current machines.

Being a 'good guy with a gun' doesn't always pan out. When the cops arrive, they can't seem to reliably tell the good from the bad.

Re: ONE reason for the 2nd Amendment
While the concept sounds plausible and may work at the shooting range, it is not viable in real life. At all.
This. Times a zillion.

Re: ONE reason for the 2nd Amendment
In response to the first post, I present this here without comment [no, I'm not going to get involved in this stuff]
Police chief shoots himself in the foot.
By Matt Durr
mattdurr@mlive.com
CARELTON, MI -- The police chief in a small town roughly 45 minutes southwest of Detroit shot himself in the foot Thursday after he slipped on ice, according to the Associated Press.
Carleton Village President Larry Buckingham told the Monroe News that police chief Roy Johnson suffered a minor gunshot wound and was taken to the University of Michigan Medical Center. The gunshot was described as a "through and through."
Johnson is expected to be OK. He slipped on the ice while investigating a breaking and entering call at a residence in the small village. The resulting fall caused his gun to discharge and strike him in the foot.

Re: ONE reason for the 2nd Amendment
There's always going to be alleged professionals who hurt themselves or their fellow employees or their family with their guns.
Who remembers the DEA agent who was in a classroom and stated he was the only one 'professional' enough to handle a Glock 22.
Then promptly shot himself in the leg.
