Yesterday I went to the biggest eshop over here that has also a big showroom with laptops. While I am disappointed by current laptops in general, I had opportunity to compare some of them side by side.
Dell XPS 13 FHD vs UHD, the machine is very nice and the UHD/4K display quality is great. No wonder, such parameters 1113:1 contrast, 98% sRGB, 465.9 cd/m² are promising. As for the pixel density, I no longer agree that FHD is enough on 13.3" display I tried to use the UHD one with 125% and 150% zoom respectively, absolutely perfect. Unfortunately the Dell XPS 13 keyboard feel was the most terrible one I've seen there, HP ones were much better and even Acer ones. It has too mushy feel, imprecise clicks and warps too much here and there.
Microsoft Surface Go - very nice display again, 3:2 of course and the resolution is best on 100% or 125% zoom. Very sturdy case. Unfortunately the attachable keyboard is crap. It warps too much, F and navigation keys are too small and have to be pressed more hard. It is a pity.
Microsoft Surface Laptop - the keyboard is better but not something I'd like to use for a long time. Unfortunately the "2" version is still not available over here. Display is nice again, as expected.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 6 and T480 (both FHD only) - the keyboard itself is very good but the low profile trackpoint I wouldn't like to use for a long time. As for display, no, I can't use FHD resolution on 14" size anymore after playing with the Dell 13.3" UHD one And the low color gamut also sucks by side-by-side comparison with better displays. Somewhat I don't see a reason to buy a ThinkPad considering the very high price and terrible display options and its quality and the stupid 6-row keyboard layout, of course.
Acer Swift 5 and 7 - Acer had been considered as low-end for a long time but I don't think it'd be fair to treat it like that now. It looks good and the keyboard feel was definitely better that the Dell XPS 13 one.
Lenovo Yoga Book C930 - to be honest, I spent most of the time playing with this machine. It is update of the first Yoga Book that has second E-Ink touch display that works as virtual keyboard (you can change layouts!), note mode tablet and ebook reader. The 10" 2560 x 1600 16:10 display is nice again, the machine is light, sturdy and has optional LTE module. The most surprising fact for me is how precisely you can type on the virtual keyboard. You can also set several levels of the haptic feedback. The only downside is pricing, it is not worth the 1500 Euro for i5, 4 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, LTE Otherwise it'd be nice upgrade of my current ThinkPad 8 LTE tablet.

I too thought those Yoga systems were overpriced for the hardware you get.

Well, why is that surprising? You are paying for a whole lot more than the base hardware.

Lenovo's laptops aren't the only things that are overpriced just by throwing the word "Yoga" on it
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.
The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.
